The core age range of Juniors Section is from 8 to 11 years, usually starting in the school year 4 through to 6.

This age group has its own programme called Juniors based on five areas; body, mind, spirit, community and creativity. The programme provides challenges, adventure and opportunities to learn and grow. The fun and engaging programme enables the children to work in a team and take more responsibility. Juniors also get the opportunity to go on camps and residential trips, and for some this will be their first night away from home. Throughout their time in the Juniors Section, children can gain badges and recognition for their participation in the programme.

The Uniform

Children in the Junior Section wear a uniform of a blue polo shirt and royal blue sweatshirt. Members will wear school trousers and footwear as part of the uniform.

Safe & caring

All our adult volunteers undertake a disclosure (criminal records) check as part of their registration with The Boys’ Brigade, and are trained to provide a safe and caring environment for all children.

What it costs

We charge a subscription fee, currently it is £12.00 per term or £30.00 for the full session (3 terms). That said, we don’t want any child to miss out because of cost, so if you have any concerns about finance please speak to a leader in the local group in confidence about this.

How do I join?
